Just like that, another season comes to a close, and what a season it has been. New champions, dramatic finals, outstanding individual performances, and plenty of memorable moments made this one of the most competitive campaigns yet.

----------------------------

🏆 Division One

  • Champions: Three Tuns
  • Runners-Up: WR Sports A

Three Tuns claimed the Division One title in emphatic fashion, ending WR Sports A's reign as Champions and finishing a commanding 18 points clear at the top.

Their remarkable season saw them win 12 matches, draw one and suffer just a single defeat, ironically against WR Sports A. They also led the division in dish points, recording an impressive 10 dishes throughout the campaign.

🥇 Leading Player: Ben Reading

Ben Reading secured the Division One Leading Player award, narrowly edging out Leighton Cumber. From 42 frames played, Ben won 30, finishing with an outstanding 71.43% win rate to take the top spot.

🍽️ Most Dishes: Rob Mutter & Ethan Coates

Rob Mutter and Ethan Coates shared the honours with four dishes each. Rob's tally consisted entirely of break dishes, while Ethan demonstrated his finishing ability with four reverse dishes.

🏆🏆 Division Two

  • Champions: WR All Stars
  • Runners-Up: Eddies

Division Two went right down to the wire, with only three points separating first and third place.

WR All Stars were eventually crowned Champions on the final day of the season, while Eddies snatched second place by a single point, denying Staines Cons New a promotion spot.

The Champions finished with a record of eight wins, two draws and four defeats. Dish points were evenly spread across the Division, with WR All Stars, Eddies and Egham & Hythe Youth all finishing with two dishes apiece.

🥇 Leading Player: Dan Reilly

Dan Reilly claimed the Leading Player title on the final day, overtaking Michael Punter in a closely contested race.

Michael posted an impressive record of 20 wins from 25 frames, achieving an 80% win percentage. However, Dan's 23 victories from 30 frames and 76.67% success rate were enough to secure top spot.

🍽️ Most Dishes: Michael Punter & Hiss Salih

Michael Punter and Hiss Salih shared the dish honours with two reverse dishes each.

Team Competitions

🏆 ALES Cup

  • Champions: Three Tuns
  • Runners-Up: WR Sports A

Three Tuns completed a superb League and Cup double with a dominant performance on Finals Day, defeating rivals WR Sports A 9-3 to lift the ALES Cup.

-------------

🏺 ALES Jug

  • Champions: Staines Cons D
  • Runners-Up: Sunbury Con Club B

Arguably the match of the Finals Day. Sunbury Con Club B looked certain winners after racing into a 6-1 lead, but Staines Cons D produced an incredible comeback, forcing a deciding frame before completing a remarkable 9-8 victory to lift the Jug.

-------------

🥄 Wooden Spoon

  • Champions: Sunbury Con Club A
  • Runners-Up: Jolly Butcher

Another entertaining final saw Sunbury Con Club A secure the Wooden Spoon title with a convincing 9-4 victory over Jolly Butcher. Sunbury securing the Spoon!!!

Individual Competitions

🏆 Leading Player Championship

  • Champion: Ben Reading
  • Runner-Up: Rob Mutter

The inaugural Leading Player Championship delivered some excellent matches. In the semi-finals, Ben Reading edged past Mark Court in a deciding frame, while Rob Mutter booked his place in the final with a commanding 4-0 victory over Daniel James.

The final saw Rob storm into a 2-0 lead, but Ben responded brilliantly, reeling off five consecutive frames to secure a 5-2 victory and become the first-ever Leading Player Champion.

-------------

🏆 ALES Singles Cup

  • Champion: Tom Howick
  • Runner-Up: Rob Mutter

Another fantastic final played in front of a vocal crowd. Tom Howick raced into a 4-1 lead before Rob fought back to 4-3, but Tom ultimately got over the line with a deserved 5-3 victory. A brilliant contest, although it was another case of cup final heartbreak for Rob Mutter.

-------------

🏆 ALES Singles Plate

  • Champion: Mark Court
  • Runner-Up: Paddy Casey

The scoreline suggests a comfortable 5-1 victory, but this was far more competitive than it appears. Paddy Casey played some excellent pool throughout, only to fall just short in several tight frames. Mark Court proved clinical when the opportunities came his way, securing the Plate title and bouncing back from his earlier semi-final disappointment in the Leading Player Championship.

-------------

🏆 ALES Doubles Cup

  • Champions: Mark Court & Dan Reilly
  • Runners-Up: Stuart Harmes & Mark Goff

The final competion match of the season took place after Finals Day and saw Mark Court and Dan Reilly lift the Doubles Cup with a 5-2 victory. The scoreline perhaps flatteringly suggests a comfortable win, but many of the frames were closely contested. The victory also saw Dan Reilly claim his fifth Doubles title, although not sure he has mentioned that to anyone...

-------------

🏆 ALES Doubles Plate

  • Champions: Daniel James & Will Brown
  • Runners-Up: Steve Kent & Grant Baker

One of the longest and most hard-fought finals of the day saw Daniel James and Will Brown overcome Steve Kent and Grant Baker 5-3. The match remained finely balanced throughout, but Daniel and Will produced the key moments when it mattered most to take the title.
